Suit filed against Louis Weiss Memorial Hospital and Dr. Sayeed N. Iqbal, M.D.
Facts: On June 30, 1998, Plaintiff was being delivered by Dr. Iqbal at Louis Weiss Memorial Hospital when she was dropped by Dr. Iqbal resulting in head trauma requiring surgery and resulting in the loss of some motor skills.
Suit filed against City of Chicago
Facts: On June 18, 1998, Plaintiff was walking on City sidewalk when a 40 foot tree fell on him during a high wind resulting in the plaintiff being paralyzed from the waist down. It was later found that part of the root system of the tree was cut a few days earlier by the City of Chicago in order to repair a broken water main.
Suit filed against Windy City Amusement
Facts: On July 6, 1996, the Plaintiffs were on a motorcycle stopped in the left hand turn lane at a red light when they were struck from behind by a van driven by an alleged employee of Windy City Amusement resulting in their deaths.
Suit filed against Chicago Transit Authority
Facts: On June 24, 1996, Plaintiff was hit by a Chicago Transit Authority bus while crossing at an intersection resulting in the de-gloving of her left arm. Plaintiff went through several operations with over $600,000 in medical bills. It was later found; that the bus driver had over 50 previous traffic and company infractions including numerous vehicular accidents and was suspended many times for his driving infractions but was still allowed to operate a bus.
